What's to see and do?

This is a region of classic, small New England villages. Country walking, X-Country or Alpine skiing, even ice skating are at hand.

There is an abundance of Golf within 15 minutes. For a fee our guests can buy a day of membership privilege at Hampshire Hills, our local health/fitness club - an absolutely top flight facility.

Shopping: New Hampshire has NO SALES TAX! If you're from a State not similarly blessed you'll find that the savings can be impressive. There are lots of local specialty shops and major malls nearby.

And we are in the heart of ANTIQUE TRAIL, a concentration of over 1500 dealers only minutes away.

DINING: For such a small community, the variety is remarkable; Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Swiss, Bavarian, Italian, Seafood, plus all the fast fooders !

SCENIC NH! We boast about Scenic New Hampshire. Don't miss the scenic by taking a room on a busy thoroughfare teeming with traffic. At Zahn's Alpine Guesthouse, while only two minutes from the local commerce, the setting is country New Hampshire-skaters on the pond, birds at the window.

New Hampshire's famous Autumnal color peaks anytime in the first half of October.

February/March; in addition to skiing, is maple sugar time. "Sugarin'", if you haven't seen it, is quite a show and there are plenty of Sugarbush in the area.

Skiing at nearby Pat's Peak, or one of  the many other  New Hampshire Ski Areas are available.

You can cut your own Christmas tree on the Zahn woodlot if you live near enough to transport it yourself. A two-night package is offered that includes a couple of meals in addition to breakfast plus Gluhwein lessons. (Glow Wine).

Or pick blueberries in early July.

SKI/BIKE Tours.
Business took the Zahns to Alpine Europe dozens of times over the years. Their acquaintance is not so much the "high spots" but, rather, a more "real" acquaintance with those regions. Utilizing this familiarity gave rise to GlacierTours; a small, personal ski/bike/hike operation which many have described as "the best vacation of my life!!"

FAX is the same as the guesthouse. Telephone is different: (603) 673-1908 or Toll free: (888) 746-0051.
