Love's Seasons

When she came into my life
                        I'll never forget that day
for she was sweet and innocent
like a gentle wind in may.
I felt deep down inside of me
that she could be the one
whom would make my life much brighter
as the rising of the sun.
Her love was warm and tender. It never strayed from sight. It guided me from darkness. It brought me into light. My life had been so empty, for many years it seemed, but then her love had touched me. It was, to me, a dream.
Of the times we spent together some were good and some were bad. We had a lot of happy times and we had our share of sad. We laughed, we cried, we'd talk a lot about the life we'd have together. But the love we shared was changing like the seasons, like the weather.
Oh why does love have to change so much? It seems I may never know. It can start so warm and beautiful. It can end so harsh, so cold. Someday I may find a love. A love that is right for me. I don't know where I'll find it. I'll just have to wait and see.
