Tanka, Short & Long Cinquain

I.
Look towards the future, at least that's what they tell me. I ask to see tomorrow. Their helpless reply: "I think that was yesterday."

II.
Driving late one night. Tired, time to find a motel. Plenty of "No Vacancies". We find one "dirt cheap". The price sure speaks for itself!

Short Cinquain
I.
Work day Early morn' Dreary outside She lay warm near me Stay home

II.
Sunshine Birds singing Warm summer breeze Lying on green grass Dreaming

Long Cinquain
I.
No use What can I say? You're just too ignorant. You are dreaming your life away. So long!

II.
Trudging. Wind blown snow drifts. Frozen lakes go unseen. Wind driven snow stings my wet face. Homeward!
