On Your Birthday

                    I couldn't go buy a birthday card,
                    so I'm sending this poem to you.
                    This is no fancy store-bought saying,
                    but I'm hoping that it will do.
                       
                         "You are one year older",
                         as some cards will say.
                         "And a little bit wiser".
                         such clichs!

                    There's no fancy words inside of me,
                    I feel that I need to say.
                    There's just a wish I have for you,
                    and that's to have a nice birthday!
