My Interests

(You just came from )

My Main Interests (This is difficult as I have too many. If I had to say it would probably be:)

- Music.

- Computers.

- Music.

- Poetry.

- Music.

- People who are not shallow, and people who can face and accept responsibility (not run from it!)....oh, and music!

My Main Dislikes/Turn Offs

(I have a few things that, frankly speaking, piss me off! They would be:)
- People who are shallow.

- People who cannot face and accept responsibility (and run from it!).

- People who continually interrupt others' conversations.

- People chewing food so loudly that it drowns out the dinner table conversation.

- Bad manners in general....

Foods

- I have a weakness for good spaghetti (homemade sauce simmered for hours, not canned or from a jar) or lasagna, garlic bread, and a tossed salad (Mmmm....).

- An occasional pizza (or calzone) with the works...hold the anchovies, please.

- Shake-N-Bake chicken (thighs & legs), mashed potatoes, and corn (a can of whole and a can of creamed...50/50 - Try It!).

- My Mom's homemade Swedish Rye bread. The recipe was passed down by her mother and her grandmother (from the ol' country!).

- A big batch of Swedish pancakes (similar to crepes), know as "Dutchmen" (I don't know why....). Yet another recipe from the ol' country.

* Here is Moe Howard on dining etiquette (161K)!

Drink

- "Bottle of red, bottle of white. It all depends upon your appetite..." - Billy Joel

- I like wine (I prefer white wine to red) or I have a beer on occasion (I highly recommend the beer with the aforementioned pizza).

- I drink lots of hot or iced tea. I try to stay away from those "zinger" flavored teas (yeow!).

- I gave up drinking coffee for a while. Too m-m-many j-j-jitters....

Movies

- I think that "The Graduate", "Jeremiah Johnson", "Dances With Wolves", and "Forrest Gump" are among my most favorite films.

- I really like "Somewhere In Time", with Christopher Reeve (Okay, okay, so I am a romantic at heart...). To hear the midi-version of the song Somewhere In Time, by composer John Barry, click here.

Books

- I like the collection of Jack London's complete works.

- The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Pelician Edition) is fun to read as well!

- J.D. Salinger's "Nine Stories".

* - If I get into a novel, I become compulsive reader. I cannot put the book down until I finish it...so, to avoid that I read short stories (ie: Reader's Digest) or text books and manuals...(Oh boy)! <grin>

Music

- I enjoy many styles of music. Most preferred listening would be Classic Rock. I enjoy The Beatles, James Taylor, CSN, Neil Young, The Greatful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Simon and Garfunkel, The Doors, etc., etc.. I also have a strong liking for Classical such as Mozart, Vivaldi, Wagner, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, etc..

- I love music trivia, so leave me a trivial question and I'll try to answer it for you. You can leave me email with some of your trivia knowledge too, if you wish....<grin>

Art & Photography

- I prefer "good" photography. You know those breathtaking photographs of sunsets, landscapes, wildlife, or most anything from Nature. I also like paintings...anything from fantacy art to Monet!

- I had a collection of Patrick Nagel's acrylic artwork on canvas. I had made up a small gallery, however, I took it down as it was an infringement on the copyright laws. If wish to view my super ego, then click here, otherwise, follow this next link and eventually you'll find the true artwork by Patrick Nagel.

Poetry

- Well, I do like poetry...most any kinds. I like to write poetry, when the "Muse" hits, but I now pretty much leave it up to the pros...(or prose). <grin>

- If you would like to read some of my own poetry then visit:

Quotation

- "The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils,....Let no such man be trusted." Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice, Act V. Sc. 1.

- 101 of my Favorite Shakespearian Quotes.

- A list of searchable quotations.

Vacations

- I don't really take "vacations". They are more like daily or weekend excursions. Here are a few pictures of some of my trips. There are more photos to be added.

* The Old Man of The Mountain - NH's oldest resident!

* This is all about my trip South (not recommended as a vacation get-away)!
