You'll see the main highlights of Paris on this tour, including the Palace of Versailles. Leaving Paris by car, we will visit the old town of Chartres and the wondrous cathedral there. In the Loire valley, both the castles of Amboise and Chenonceau await us, with an evening pageant at Amboise where a cast of villagers reenact the days of the Renaissance. An enjoyable drive through the countryside will bring us into Brittany, land of the standing stones where the people live by the sea. Imagine small stone houses, paths along cliffs where small beaches are nestled, rugged shorelines and small ports. It is a land rich in lore and magic, the roots of the Celtic influences in France and a striking contrast to Paris.
